These lyrics are far too realistic these days, especially with all of the devastation this past year. Thankfully for Nashville, there is a place for people to go when they have no place to call home: The Nashville Rescue Mission.
The Nashville Rescue Mission has been providing shelter, meals, and hope for people since 1954, and today a few of us at NashComm were able to play a small role in that. We were blessed with the opportunity to serve a meal to the men, women, and children that visited today. They all received a warm meal, but us volunteers came back with so much more than that.
It was clear to see the gratitude in every single person’s eyes as they received their meal. It was one of the most humbling and heartwarming experiences that I have ever been a part of.
It was an honor to be of service.
